An Empirical Study on Government Policy Impact on Rural Development and Social Work in Rural Areas
Main Article Content
Abstract
The main objective of the study is to evaluate how various government initiatives influence socio-economic conditions in rural communities and how social workers contribute to awareness, participation, and implementation of these programs. The study is based on primary data collected from 400 respondents in selected rural areas using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. The research also uses secondary data from books, journals, and government reports to support the findings. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, correlation, regression, and reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha) were applied for data analysis. The findings reveal that government policies have a significant positive impact on rural development in terms of infrastructure, employment, education, healthcare, sanitation, and women empowerment. The study also highlights that social work plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between government schemes and rural beneficiaries by increasing awareness and encouraging community participation. However, challenges such as lack of awareness, corruption, and administrative delays still affect policy implementation. The study concludes that effective coordination between government agencies and social workers is essential for achieving sustainable rural development.
